Monsters

I dream I am in Las Vegas, but not on the strip. It’s time to go home and as I walk through a park I see an animal with the body of a kangaroo, but with a much more frightening head. At first, I play it cool and try to walk slowly but purposefully. The animal sees me and starts coming towards me. I run for the meeting place and just make it. Dave assures me the animal is fake, but I know it isn’t.

I dream a bunch of yetis are integrating themselves into our culture. They are big and awkward and not very good communicators. Gail and I step into a new opera house with thousands of seats and we see a preview opera in which the occasional yeti appears. The yetis are doing their best, but they make everything awkward and difficult and people feel threatened.

I dream I work with Regan, the possessed girl from The Exorcist. Instead of meeting her in the office, however, I am to meet her in a supermarket. She is sitting in a wheel chair and I notice she is hoarding other people’s drugs. I ask her to give the drugs back but she quickly swallows them. She justifies her actions by saying no one cares what drugs she takes and, furthermore, everybody takes the wrong drugs. I have to concur, because I have a number of pills and capsules concealed in my hand and I have been secretly taking them by the courtesy counter.

  1. The last line of dream 3 is really funny. Something about “courtesy counter” in context just makes me laugh.
