Thank you, Helen Thomas! This semi-retired muppet made from old painters’ rags is not a hag, but a haggis. However we see the consoling virtues that compensate the aesthetically, chronologically and temperamentally challenged in her forthright statement of principles that speak for the Left generally on Zion. What is the problem in the Middle East? The Jews. What is the solution? As Ms Thomas, White House press corpse, states so succinctly, “get the hell out of Palestine!” And go where? asks the unseen and unnamed interviewer… well, back where they came from, Poland, Germany…. you know, Jewland. Or as the radio operator of the Hate Boat put it more bluntly, back to Auschwitz. You see here the power of not caring. The seasoned Ms Thomas is above petty concerns like decency or even the appearance of decency and does a real public service. She demonstrates that “peace activists” are no such thing. Rather than being anti-war on principle these 60s style radicals like Bill Ayers, one of the organizers of this New Nazi Navy, are a-okay with war but are on the other side.
This is bitter news to some misguided and mislabeled lambs in universities and Borders across the nation. The sophisticated position in any serious controversy has long been squarely on the fence. Greys are always in fashion; blacks and whites are for the troglodytes of suburban Little Rock. On Zion, they support the Peace Process, ignoring that this never does produce peace. The Left has no monopoly on this phenomenon; famously George Bush stated frequently and fervently that the US is not at war with Islam and never will be. McCain, predictably, echoed this. Unasked and unanswered is whether or not Islam is at war with us. W and others who should know better took on the difficult and thankless task of reminding his countrymen and the world that, despite occasional explosive evidence to the contrary, Islam is, literally, the Religion of Peace. Likewise, this true friend of Israel somehow could not recognize that Land for Peace is no more than Churchill’s famous negotiation with crocodiles but the credentials of “honest broker” and “serious actor” in ME politics require this sort of fact fudging to maintain the fiction that there is NOT a war between Jews and their Muslim neighbors.
Thomas clarifies this for the less useful idiots out there who really thought the Peace Flotilla and the Rachel Corries of the world were acting on high principle not low aggression; that anti-Zionism is a program of humane capture and relocation, like one would do with an opossum in your crawlspace. Even a graduate of modern college could not possibly miss the significance of Germany as a repository for homeless Jews, could they? No, certainly not. Helen Thomas, by speaking her mind without reservation, has drawn back the burkha from the Palestinian cause and shown not a Two State solution but a No State solution that for the Jews of Zion will prove quite final.
The truly astounding players here, and those who will be most astounded, are the fashionably anti-Zionist Jews. These tend to be youngish and university dwellers. Mostly these are American or European Jews but they have a credible presence in Israel, even in the Knesset. They may be found in odd moments parading giant puppets of Bibi and maybe W (very rarely, of O) in mock condemnations and executions by fire, yet this is mere symbolism, right? When they chant “Jews out of Palestine!” that is just so much cheerleading. What they really want is an end to Jewish Apartheid and the Jews Final Solution to their Arab problems which these grammar-school politicos find no difficulty in equating with the late South African caste system and, oh so disgustingly, the Holocaust. The undeniable fact that the only practical way of bringing this about is the extermination of Israel, either later or sooner, actually IS denied.
Or it was.
But no more.
The opportunity for responsible fence sitting and word splitting is over and has been for a long, long time. It is now past time for frank declarations. Either you favor rocket and bombelt attacks on Israel or you oppose them. If you oppose them you must oppose the supplying and organizing and fomenting of these attacks. Right now, the foremost element of this opposition is the blockade. The right of Israel to prevent the arming of savage enemies massed on a fragile border is under cynical and mendacious attack. To defend Zion you must defend the blockade. In a not-too opaque fashion, to defend the blockade is also to relieve the supposed captives of Hamas, the “Palestinians”, from the certainty of all-out war in their front yards between Israel and the Iranian proxy. Egypt also supports the blockade, materially if not rhetorically. In fact Egypt poured poison gas into some smugglers tunnels, killing a dozen or so which shows how seriously they are taking THEIR border security. In fact there is only one sound reason for anyone to oppose the blockade and its enforcement, that is if you are acting to destroy Israel, expel her citizens into the sea or into hell and replacing it with an Arab statelet quickly subsumed into Egypt, Jordan and Syria.
Friends and foes, if you oppose the blockade for any reason… indeed for NO reason other than easy conformity you must realize that THIS is what you support! No, there are no pacifists on this issue. There are no disinterested mediators. The title of “honest broker” is an audacious display of double-think as it implies an “even-handedness” between the Jews and Arabs which is dishonest in the extreme. Who would support “even-handedness” between Sharon Tate and Susan Atkins? No, the “activists” of the flotilla were prosecuting war as much as any Hamas trigger-puller. A foolish attempt was made to put them under arrest, which they resisted with deadly force. The result was predictable and lamentable only for PR reasons. Those who participate in media conflicts and say otherwise are engaged in propaganda to forward their side; the exterminationist side, even if they are too dumb to know it.
Yes, some things are black and white. Some things are up or down. Some things are on or off. One or zero. War is the clarifier. War is the side-taker. War is the great discriminator and that is why there is so much mewling, contradictory blather about the question of whether or not this global mish-mash of lunacy and chemistry amounts to a war while, as everyone knows, there is no such ambiguity on the other end. War is binary, sides must be chosen even recognizing that nearly NOone is going to be precisely on your side. Don’t like it? That’s okay! Because while you may not be interested in jihad, in sharia, in anti-semitism or anti-Americanism or nihilism or Nazism or communism or any of the malign philosophical poisons filling the air, brothers and sisters, they are quite interested in YOU precisely because of that. And if you don’t believe it now there will be yet more and yet more prominent Helen Thomas moments in your very near future.

All she had to say was “Get the Palestinians out of Israel” and I’m sure she would have been given a raise and some congressional award.
As it is, she will doubtless secretly be given a large monetary award by the government of Saudi Arabia. If they can get to her before the Iranians do.
Mick, what are you talking about? There is absolutely NO ONE, either in politics or media in the US, Israel, Europe or the ME who supports some sort of ejection of the arabs from Gaza/West Bank or even from Israel. There are however a half-dozen political entities publicly supporting extermination of all the jews, not surprising if you remember the mass eviction of jews from nearly all arab or muslim nations in the decades after WWII. Do you have any kind of, say, FACT to support this insipid accusation?
