To nobody’s surprise Megan Joy was voted off American Idol last night. While I’m more than happy to see the shimmy plagued singer go, I did feel bad about the way it ended. When Seacrest read the judges comments from the previous night to her and asked how she felt about Simon’s remarks, she replied “I don’t care.” It was one of those moments that made you cringe because it seemed like a knee jerk, self preservation type of response. When it was revealed that she was leaving and Seacrest asked Simon if they were going to consider using the save on Megan, his response was “Megan, with the greatest respect, when you said you didn’t care, nor do we.” I felt bad for the girl. Of course she cares, she made a mistake and said something stupid. Simon, in all of his douchey glory, of course had to get the last word in. Dick.

The most excruciating moment of the night — watching the contestants imitate each other. Stick to the singing and leave the comedy to the drugged up judge in front of you. Until next time…
