Call for writers
You might have noticed that When Falls the Coliseum has been adding lots of new content and new writers in recent weeks. This is only the beginning. We are looking for contributors who can write engaging posts on any of the subjects we cover. So if you have something to say and can say it well, read on.
In particular, we’re looking for contributors who can do weekly columns on:
Television: Reviews or commentary on a genre of shows (not reality TV — we have that already), a very popular show, or a broader take on the week in television, covering several shows, a fun roundup of sorts.
Video Games: Reviews of new releases for various platforms.
Science: Discussion of the latest science news, covering a wide range of subjects — new theories, developments, or discoveries in physics, evolution, biology, space exploration, and so on. You don’t have to be a scientist, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a background in one of the sciences.
Medicine: We’d like a doctor or other medical professional to comment on medical news and medical advances, give helpful tips, and so on.
Law: We’d like a lawyer to comment on recent Supreme Court cases and the constitutionality of new legislation and to discuss other big court cases and legal developments and to give helpful tips.
Economics: We’d like an economist or someone with knowledge in the subject to explain and comment on developments in the economy and give helpful financial tips.
The above could be formatted as weekly columns or could just be frequently occurring blog posts. We’ll determine that after we we receive your submission and talk it over with you.
Aside from weekly columns, we’d also like to find more writers to regularly write about:
Politics: We’re looking for liberals, conservatives, libertarians, and independents to write engaging, funny, informed commentary on political news, government, and current events for an audience of readers who don’t necessarily all share the writers’ viewpoint. Ideally, we’d have several writers with different political views each posting at least once per week.
All interested writers are asked to take a look at our categories. We’re open to pitches if you have a specific column idea. Be sure to visit our submissions page.
Note that we don’t pay any contributors. People write for When Falls the Coliseum because they enjoy it and they see it as a good, growing venue for their writing. Read about our current contributors to see that you’d be in excellent company.
Please share this information with anyone you know who might be interested and qualified. Thank you.

I suggest a column or series of pieces/reviews about online narrative or literature.
