War really is peace

Many people still mistakenly label George Orwell’s 1984 as “satire.” But fewer people should continue in this error after President Obama defended war in his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize today in Oslo.
We should be truly thankful that we unelected all those neocons.

One need to make a distinction between means and ends, as Aristotle put it, and, as we all presumably know, this was long before Orwell came to be: “We make war that we may live in peace” … it’s not rocket science, but I doubt Obama fully understands it. Nether did Orwell.
