Lauren likes TV: So I thought I could dance
According to my cousin Carrie and my Grandmother, I’m the best dancer (or so I think ;o). Turns out, I can’t dance… at all. I’m so happy SYTYCD is back and here’s why:
Jeanine & Phillip — When I saw these two paired together the first thing I thought was lucky her. Not only has Phillip gotten lots of air time this season (and last), but he is ridiculous. His body moves like no body should move. There’s no explanation for it, he’s just sick at what he does. Jeanine was unrecognizable to me. Well unrecognizable no more. Not only did she totally keep up with Phillip throughout the Tabitha and Napoleon hip-hop routine, she was off the hook. I would’ve never guessed that she had zero hip-hop experience. She referred to herself as a “hot mess” when she first started dancing. Now you’re just hot. Good for you, I hope you both go very far in the competition.
Caitlin & Jason — Mary said it best, I’m so glad Bollywood came to Hollywood. It’s routines like this that make me love this show. I knew coming into this that Jason was a male front-runner in the competition but now I think he’s the male front-runner. I wasn’t a fan of Caitlin’s in the Hollywood round, but she deserved the praises tonight. That was amazing and the most fun routine of the evening.
Wade Robson — Not to take anything away from Kupono and Ashley because they were brilliant, but that was a classic Wade Robson masterpiece. His routines make any dancer look amazing because they are so damn original. It’s easy to just sit back and watch the show rather than critique each and every move. I hope Wade is a big part of this season.
Kayla & Max — In case you didn’t notice, Mary liked this routine. I have to agree with Adam… the second they hit the stage, I was like, “Who the hell is that girl?!” She was smokin’ hot and is currently the girl to beat. Max did his thing, but Kayla was the only one I saw.
Like every other season, the dancers have to grow on me, but I will be here every week cheering them on, looking forward to the choreography (especially Mia’s contemporary, Tabitha and Napoleon’s hip-hop, and Wade’s anything), and downloading the music (several bucks are spent on iTunes each season). And how can I forget… Kat! I love and have missed all 10 feet of her.

Wade Robson is a genius. I can’t wait for them to pair Mia with Brandon. That bitch is going to eat her words!
I love the 10 foot Kat comment.
