I’m not sure you know this, but we’re a pretty big deal.

In my line of work I deal with several overseas factories. I received an email earlier from a contact in a China facility. He inquired about some items we are sourcing and he signed off with, “We look forward to results of your election. The whole world is waiting.”
The whole world is waiting.

I don’t doubt they are waiting, but I am sick of listening to them explain to us how we should vote, run our country, deal with enemies etc etc ad infinitum, ad nauseum.
10-4, but I’m also sick of listening to us explaining to them how they should run their affairs, e.g., Bush lecturing Putin on Chechnya — bad, bad move — and practically every other country in the world on human rights. There should be something like family counseling for countries, and the UN ain’t it.
Btw, my husband and I were very interested in the results of the last French election (our dude won), but as far as I know, we were the only ones outside of France.
preacher – considering we insert ourselves in countries all over the world, i think it would be pretty hypocritical for us to tell anyone not to give us advice.
olga – i bet in france they’re not calling him “the first dude.”
Well, no, he’s the president. They probably call Carla Bruni “the first dudette.” Or something in French, quite possibly. :)
