Lauren likes TV: Can you feel it?

I can feel it. Pro, college, and fantasy football is alive, the stench of the smoldering New York City streets is fading, and teachers have to actually go to work like the rest of us (suckas). That’s right, fall is just ’round the corner and you know what comes with that… fall TV, THE highlight of my favorite season.  We did it. We made it through another summer of ridiculous reality television and feelings of obligation to do something after work because it’s “summer.” I, for one, am done with all of that and am ready to plop my ass in front of the television, order a pizza and wait for all the television goodness to grace us with its presence. Here’s what’s on my schedule for week 1 of the TV season:

What To Watch, week of 9/8

Tuesday

90210 — Last season ended with a ludicrous finale which made us believe that Annie killed someone while drunk driving after prom. If someone is actually dead, is this going to turn into a Clue whodunnit? Resulting in… Miss Wilson, in her car, with a bottle of vodka? Let’s hope so.

Melrose Place — You already know how I feel about it. Very low expectations. Very low. However, to the contrary of what I posted recently regarding Heath Locklear not returning to the new Melrose, it seems as if she may have changed her mind. Sydney, Michael, Jane, Jo and now Amanda? Who needs the new cast?

Wednesday

Glee — My pick (and everyone else’s) as the best new show of the year. All it took was the sneak peek back in the spring to hook us. If you haven’t seen it yet, please watch it right this second. I’m not 100% positive, but I have every reason to believe that Wednesday’s premiere will be a new episode. Some songs to expect this season: Salt-N-Pepa‘s ‘Push It,’ Young MC’s ‘Bust A Move’ and Beyoncé‘s ‘Halo.’ I know, you’re so excited and you just can’t hide it.

Thursday

The NFL — It’s the first game of the regular season and it all “kicks off” with Big Benny Roethlisberger and the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers at home against the Tennessee Titans. It should be a battle of defense… game on!

Big Brother — If you’re still interested, another house guest is evicted, though after Jeff’s departure, no one cares.

We’re being eased in with a light week, but it starts to get hectic the week of the 14th so enjoy your free time and what’s left of summer. Happy Labor Day to all you workers up in here!

  1. Oh how you gave up on BB! It was an exciting last 2 weeks. Yes after Jeff is now gone I don’t know who I really want to win. I guess I would say Michelle, only because she really did make it through on her own, she has NO ONE!! BOOHOO Cry! haha. Jordan=useless, Kevin=Entertaining funny guy, & Natalie= why? why? did she win HOH this is going to be an annoying week.

  2. Just as excited as you are. Mostly about Glee. I actually re-watched it last week. I’m such a dork. SYTYCD starts again on Wed too..but well I know that you feel the same way I do about that one. Bland..
