I watched an interesting piece [1] on Fox News where Ann Coulter, an amusing verbal bomb-thrower, spoke to Bill O’Reilly about the liberal media’s sympathy for Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square car bomber.
O’Reilly showed a CBS News piece in which reporter Bob Orr went on about Shahzad’s foreclosure on his home and other hard luck tales. As O’Reilly rightly pointed out, Shahzad took 13 trips to Pakistan. Perhaps he should have paid his mortgage instead of traveling to Pakistan for his terrorism 101 courses.
Coulter said that the liberals in the media always show sympathy for the barbarians against civilization. They are sympathetic to Islamic terrorists, communists and criminals. Coulter urged O’Reilly and viewers to read her book on this very subject, Treason.
Watching and reading the mainstream media, I’ve seen little mention that Shahzad subscribes to a hateful, murderous group of terrorists that want to throw all of us back to the 17th century.
Thankfully, Shahzad was a goof, and his car bomb fizzled, but one should realize his intent was to murder innocent men, women and children in the Times Square area.
