Robert Anthony Watts

Robert Anthony Watts teaches in the Freshman Writing Program at Drexel University. He begins each fall determined to revolutionize the teaching of writing and to leave a life-long mark on the lives of his students. He finishes each year barely functional, one step away from depression, hoping students are too lazy and tired (or too bored from his classes) to write negative things about him on the teacher rating sites.
Robert formerly worked as a journalist in the Washington, D.C. area and Atlanta. He is currently completing a search for an anti-procrastination class. He stays up late each night watching bad television in hope of finding the right anti-procrastination infomercial.
He is well known for writing a review of Justice Clarence Thomas’ memoir, which was read by perhaps four people, including his two brothers, and he recently analyzed the roles of race and gender in the battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Now he has Conversations with Paula Marantz Cohen at When Falls the Coliseum.
Robert received his BA in government from Harvard University and his MA in English and creative writing from Temple University.
