Nicole Ball

Nicole Ball is a self-proclaimed eavesdropper who listens in on the world’s conversations in the hopes of using the material later as her writing muse.

She’s been a coffee-fetcher for numerous publications, including glossy city magazines in Philadelphia and alternative weeklies such as the Village Voice in New York City. On occasion, at these jobs, in between stapling, filing, and the aforementioned coffee fetching, she had the opportunity to dig up dirt on New York City politicians and organize a hoagie (that’s sandwich to all you non-Philly people) eating contest.

Running an alternative weekly in New Haven, Connecticut, she had the pleasure of profiling the lives of nuns and porn stars and found delight in doing both. Someday, when she gets better at writing (and spelling), she hopes to become a biographer.

Residing in suburban New England, she hates people who wear baseball caps and fleece but makes an exception for one person and one person only, and don’t ask if there’s room in her heart for one more… there just isn’t.

She lives with her husband, two dogs, and two cats in a 400-square-foot apartment near the beach in Connecticut, but does not enjoy long walks on the sandy shores.
