Matt Feltz is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in biology at Harvard Extension School while flailing away at becoming a freelance writer. Also an occasional contributor for Bostonist, he’s written about electric cars, future cities, and designer microbes without making a complete fool of himself. Before settling on writing, Matt was more or less coasting into a career that entailed wearing a white coat and goggles and using pipettes, but decided he preferred reporting on this sort of work to actually doing it.

Matt grew up in South Florida, but has rather unfortunately found himself braving increasingly treacherous winters the past several years in North Carolina, Rhode Island, and now Boston. Outside of writing, he’s best known for having signs prominently featured on ESPN during his time at Duke University, and for being his family’s favorite photographer.
