John Capone

John Capone was raised on the mean streets of the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where he spent most of his young life playing with large dogs, drawing cartoons, and actively rejecting peer pressure. At the tender age of ten, he began singing professionally with the Children’s Chorus of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and continued to do so until puberty stripped him of his haunting soprano voice. In high school and college, he did what “they” required of him, and that eventually led to his graduating from Northwestern University’s School of Law in 2004. As a result, he is currently a (reluctantly) practicing attorney, who views his career as the best way to fund a lifestyle that includes extensive world travel, fiction writing, and blogging humorous commentary and film reviews, among other things.

John loves serial television, blue humor, 70′s prog rock, and 60′s science fiction. He enjoys logodaedaly and non-traditional scat singing. When people ask him if he’s “related to Al” he responds: “If I were, I would deny it.”
