Daniel Putkowski

Daniel Putkowski likes to write the truth and tell everyone it’s a lie. His novels explore the hidden worlds of brothels, bars and bureaucrats and he finds the best cure for writer’s block is bourbon.

A part-time expat, Putkowski spends half his year in sunny Aruba where the locals know him as the white dude with the blue truck who wrote that book about their red light district. When not searching the Caribbean for inspiration, Putkowski can be found in Philadelphia where he hopes to come across an adequate Colombian restaurant someday. You can never have enough chicharrón.

Some conservative bigwigs had nice things to say about Putkowski’s latest novel, Universal Coverage, which imagines a nationalized health care system in America’s not too distant future. CPAC’s Blogger of the Year, Ed Morrissey of hotair.com, said the book was “a cross between Atlas Shrugged, 1984, and a dash of Children of Men.” Sounds good, doesn’t it?

In addition to books, Putkowski enjoys writing on his blog, The Bent Page, about alternative energy, politics, cats, piloting Cessnas, and whatever else is on his mind. He has appeared on conservative talk radio with the likes of Dennis Miller, Lars Larson, and John Gambling. To learn more, visit danielputkowski.com.
