Calvin Pollak

Calvin Pollak is an undergraduate Professional Writing major at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Unlike most university students, he has extremely high standards for what he eats, drinks, and does with himself when he goes out in public. Along with some of his closest friends and associates, he blogs frequently at Dogs Thought, a stripped-down, free-for-all Blogger community with an ironically cutesy canine theme. When he’s not penning political, musical or culinary opinion pieces there, he is often doing or planning some kind of live performance: he is one-half of the now-defunct R&B/satire outfit C-Money and Karl Kash; he is a founding member of sketch comedy troupe The Herb Wilson Youth Group (currently on hiatus); and he produces his own music, which tends toward soul/hip-hop/psychadelia, on his MacBook.
Calvin is a natural born leader. He hopes to someday speak publicly about how bad a movie Public Enemies is. For now, his plans are a bit more modest: to graduate, to avoid investing in ponzi schemes, and to not die.
