Bob Sullivan

Bob Sullivan is the author of the 1979 cult classic Clonus (also known as Parts: The Clonus Horror), starring Peter Graves, Keenan Wynn and Dick Sargent, which was lovingly sent up on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and was the basis for the 2005 DreamWork’s Michael Bay film The Island, starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. He was a major contributor to The St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture and the book When Falls the Coliseum (contributing to the website during its former incarnation). He was the editor of the literary magazine Helicon and a film reviewer for the Los Angeles Free Press. He majored in creative writing at Purdue University (where his mentor was Mark “Bang the Drum Slowly” Harris) and did graduate work in cinema at the University of Southern California and in directing at the Actors and Directors Lab under Jack Garfein. He currently works at the Temple University Institute for Schools and Society in Philadelphia, and he lives in West Chester, PA with his wife, Maureen.
