Ari McKee learned a lot in college, but not enough to entirely escape graduate school. Now that she’s a writer and humorist, she utilizes her hard-won comparative religion degree and therefore justifies her crippling student loan payments by dropping theological themes into her otherwise fluffy and lowbrow satirical sketches. Saint Paul, Minnesota, is the hub of her ever-expanding wheel of influence, not unlike the karmic wheel of Samsara in Hinduism or the Great Circle Mandala found in many aboriginal cultures, or like the Wheel of Fortune found every night at 6 p.m. on Channel 9.
