100-year-old pedophile released from jail
When you read the beginning of this story about Theodore Sypnier, you might be thinking that New York residents are overreacting. Using common sense, you might believe that freeing a 100-year-old pedophile from jail isn’t dangerous, that this man can’t really be an ”active threat” to the community. He’s 100. What’s he gonna do, rape a kid? He’s a hundred. Years. Old.
But when you get to the article’s last line, maybe you’ll change your mind: “Sypnier was charged in 1999 with raping two young sisters, who were aged four and seven at the time.” 1999 was ten years ago — Sypnier was 90 in 1999. Let that sink in. At 90, he was an active threat and raped two young girls. Ninety. Years. Old.
We might expect that by the age of 100, Sypnier would no longer be a threat to young children, but we might have expected the same thing by the age of 90. And our expectations would have been wrong.
Erie County district attorney Frank Sedita helpfully sums it up for us: “Pedophiles are the worst.”

I miss PWSBKTW (People Who Should Be Killed This Week).
It will return — maybe not every week, but you might be pleased to know that an icon is being designed for it and we at PWSBKTW are still on the job.
I am thrilled to hear this and I can not wait to see the new icon. I want my own icon.
