Little big lie

Let us agree, outrageously and perhaps treasonously, to speak as if things are exactly as they seem. I am not saying that things ARE exactly as they seem, that would be preposterous. Let us just proceed hypothetically.

It seems that Global Warming is an utter fraud. Not a mistake. A fraud that required and received cooperation at the highest levels of all media, academia, politics, labor  and industry.

The Stimuli and its cousins, daughters and baby-mommas (TARP, clunkers) were and are a fraud. They were never concocted with any serious intent of relieving unemployment unless you count cronyism. Yet the money they spent, was real. It has arrived with a wet thump on someone’s desk. Was it you? I thought not.

The healthcare reform proposals are expressly designed to deprive, to say the least, certain persons of certain medical treatments, tests and drugs. They claim they do this for reasons of efficiency and perhaps they do except no one who applies a sliderule to this thing can find any. But no iteration of current health care reform can do anything but spike costs and demand simultaneously. Does anyone need to see the math on that?

Khalid Sheik Mohammed has swept back into New York. Can anyone doubt his joy? Eric Holder promises convictions and executions in swift order. And it is his reputation on which we may rely. What IS his reputation and record? Good?

In Afghanistan the JumboTron shows real time updates and Ladbroke’s odds on the impending Obama plan. It is a secret plan presently to receive its own reality show. Will it be twenty? Will it be forty? Oddsters split at thirty-five point three. Only the currency being bet is lives, both American and otherwise. I don’t declare that it is time to ramp up, nor to bug out or perhaps to dig in but I state as an American Citizen, the time to decide is yesterday and the time to dither ON THE PUBLIC STAGE was never.

While exploding goatherds may count on a squad of Marine litter-bearers to their CNN interviews, Americans who avail themselves of their rights to assemble and petition their government are assaulted, harrassed, defamed, insulted, slandered and otherwise abused by a claque of labor thugs, racial exclusionists and government hatchet men. The Bigs, on TV and in print, yawn if they do not join in. And most join in.

At home, charity, labor and government have given birth to a swaddling of evil that goes by the cutesy acronym ACORN. Their agenda? Revealed by their actions. Their loyalties? Obvious. Their methods? A matter of public record, no thanks to anyone who makes six figures to say the news.

Our President fails in even the merest duties of office. He did not need to go to Beijing but if he were to go he had best stay on the good side of absurdity. No such luck. Did you know that after bowing to the Japanese Prime Minister, causing a row in ten languages, he did it again in China? Nominally at least, that guy’s a commie and not supposed to be fond of such gestures. This is a triumph of stupidity that cannot be edited from the public mind and amplifies the already nagging thought… “He did it again. He did it AGAIN!”

In Iraq, nichts Neues. We had best not notice or we will get some news. But who said such a thing could be? Nearly none. Nearly none. We know the war is over because it has ended. Did we win? No one claims so but few object. Now, as always, what was achieved at great expense is claimed to be an inevitability. Honor is praised and decorated in public but deemed a bumpkin’s foolishness behind closed doors.

Yet Thanksgiving is at hand and thanks is in order. We stand at the peak of history and of humanity. Also of infamy and depravity. And every day it accelerates. Wherever we are going, friends, we are getting close.

That is, if we speak as though things are as they appear.

  1. What a load of horse apples. I mean, really.

“The healthcare reform proposals are expressly designed to deprive, to say the least, certain persons of certain medical treatments, tests and drugs.”

We don’t need the government to do that for us. It’s already done, thousands of times a day, by insurance companies. You know, the infamous bureaucrat in between you and your doctor?

“Expressly designed?” You mean, like, it’s in the congressional bill? Someone expressly put it in to deprive Harry in Hoboken of his Levitra? His Flomax? Who done that? Rangel? Frank? Off with their heads!

“Khalid Sheik Mohammed has swept back into New York. Can anyone doubt his joy?”

A joy he will enjoy until they slip that toxic cocktail into his vein.

“Americans who avail themselves of their rights to assemble and petition their government are assaulted, harrassed, defamed, insulted, slandered and otherwise abused by a claque of labor thugs, racial exclusionists and government hatchet men.”

Words fail. THAT is sheer delusion (and badly spelled). “Labor thugs?” KEE-rist, there’s scarcely a labor movement anymore. What century are you in, Big Bill Haywood?

“Wherever we are going, friends, we are getting close.”

Wherever you go, friends, there you are.

  2. Once again Parsifal shows up and sprays spittle all over a post, forgetting to include an argument. Nice work P, you da man!

  3. Din’t need no argument. Just needed to point out the holes in Watson’s lack of one. Have you actually read that hogwash? It’s a fog of high-sounding but empty words.

I feel your pain, and I’m sorry, but it has to be done for the good of the body politic. You’ll feel better when you realize the error of your ways.

    Have a nice Thanksgiving!

  4. As depressing as things seem, today I’m more thankful than ever – for not having to spend my Thanksgiving with Parsifal.

  5. Oooh, Jericho, vair-ee clev-air! Are you Watson’s ghost-writer?

  6. “Eric Holder promises convictions and executions in swift order.”

    So did Obama.

Now, please tell me this: If the President of the US of A is promising a guilty verdict, and an execution, why are we even having a trial?

Can it seriously be considered “fair” at this point? The government has admitted that the fix is in.

  7. Very nicely written piece. And those who disagree ought to bear in mind that it is an accurate account of how a growing number of people – including myself – feel.
