People who should be killed this week
“Constantine Toncz, 39, had been speeding several times down the neighborhood street Sunday night. The speed limit in the residential area is 25 mph.” When Sabrina Stanek, the mother of two small children, came out to ask Toncz to slow down, he rammed her with his truck, killing her. Constantine Toncz should be killed this week.
Some nut has been throwing acid off of the top of tall buildings in Hong Kong. This was the third attack in the Mong Kok district in the last six months. “Among the 24 people injured was a 4-year-old child, police said.” The acid thrower should be killed this week. But nobody knows who he is.
More details are emerging in the murder of Heather Snively and her baby by Korena Roberts.
“At this time, it has not been determined if [Snively] died because of head wounds she received or as a result of cutting injuries she received to her abdomen,” said a Monday statement from the Washington County, Oregon, Sheriff’s Office. “The autopsy determined that Ms. Snively’s son was removed from her womb after she had been cut open.”
Additional testing is needed to determine whether the infant died before or after he was removed from Snively’s body, the statement said.
Korena Roberts should be killed this week.
That’s all the people I can think of at the moment who should be killed this week. I’m sure there’ll be some additions soon. Aren’t people just the best?

“People are a problem.” (Douglas Adams)
Can you please make this a weekly column? It’s fantastic. I would like to add James von Brunn, the white supremacist involved in the shooting at the Holocaust Museum this morning, to the list. He’s in critical condition so it may happen on it’s own, but just in case he makes it. He should definitely be added to the list.
Jaclyn,
Sadly, it would not be difficult to make this a weekly column. Maybe I will. If I do, each time, our readers will be invited to add to the list.
Normally, just shooting someone will not be enough to make the list — leaving aside the issue of whether people ought to be killed for that or any reason and leaving aside opinions on the death penalty, generally a simple shooting is too generic, too common, for it to qualify for our prestigious list. Usually, the person has to do something particularly noteworthy to earn the honor. If we include everyday shooters, the list will have thousands of people each week. Too much to manage.
However, James von Brunn is a white supremacist who shot someone at the Holocaust Museum. That certainly qualifies. He should be killed this week.
This reminds me of a Sean Cullen song in which audience members suggest kinds of foods, and he sings a song about how that food will kill them: “And the food of your choice will end your life tonight.”
Perhaps we could come up with unique (and painful) ways for the victims of our cyber-vigilante justice.
I’m sure General Kang would be willing to help.
I can certainly come up with “unique (and painful) ways” to execute people like James W. von Brunn. Trust me. This is what I think about. Constantly.
It’s settled. I will be doing a regular column called “People Who Should Be Killed This Week.” It seems that there is enthusiasm out there for this. My faithful readers will be invited each time to comment on the list, make suggestions of people to add to the list, and discuss whatever else they want related to the subject — methods, etc.
The use of “should” in the column title is deliberate. People can interpret that how they like. If readers are against state-sponsored capital punishment, they can feel free to add “if there were any justice in the universe” after the column title. If readers don’t think any human should ever kill another human, that they don’t have the right to “play God,” they can feel free to add “by God” after the column title. And so on.
We can rise above policy differences and partisan bickering to agree on “people who should be killed this week.” Maybe it can bring the nation together.
I can vouch for Mr. Brensilver. He does. Constantly. He has some disturbingly creative ideas on the subject, too, as evidenced by his novel ExecTV. He’s an expert.
So, there’s no chance of titling the column “People who need killin’ this week”? Too bad…
Well, I guess I’d like to nominate the 88-year old Neo-Nazi who shot and killed the (black) guard at the Holocaust Museum.
Addition: This guy who fled from police and jumped a curb in Philadelphia, killing three children.
I think this is an excellent addition to WFTC.
I am not trying to take away from or minimize anyone’s loss. It was a tragic thing that happened. The truly innocent people are the children who did nothing to contribute to this. I also in no way am trying to justify or condone what happened. I only want him to have a fair trial based on facts and not be persecuted, tried and found guilty in the media by lies when there is no burden of proof. I am just trying to make sure the true facts of the case are heard as I know them to be true. I am not speculating or guessing. The things that I state are things that I know first hand to be true. I continually read false accusations and blatant lies that only hurt the other victims of this tragedy, his children. So, what you should know about me is that my only motive is to stop the spread of untrue statements and false speculation through the social media as well as what is supposed to be the news media that supposedly reports the truth. So all I ask is that everyone does their research and only state the facts if they are going to post things for others to read. So again, all I ask is to help prevent even more hurt to innocent victims, please stick to the facts. If the truth is not enough to convict someone of a crime, maybe they shouldn’t be convicted of that crime
