Funny, she doesn’t look like a killer

Korena Roberts allegedly killed the mother of a newborn baby and tried to pass it off as her own. I have to write “allegedly,” because people are presumed innocent. Even when there is blood in their apartment and the body of the infant’s mother is found in their crawl space. Medics were called to the home because the newborn, who died, was in distress. It’s a disturbing story — officials say that the mother Heather Snively was attacked while still pregnant. “An autopsy will now determine how the baby was delivered, and whether he died before or after birth.” Maybe more disturbing even than the murder is that Roberts had a boyfriend.

Not to be critical of your writing, but to me it sounds like you are making a type of racism remark. Why is it more disturbing that Roberts had a boyfriend? What is your purpose in making this statement? What are you insuiniating?
I think remarks like these are uncalled for. What is more disturbing that this media article, is you actually had the balls to say what you did.
Anonymous, I don’t know what a “type of racism remark” means. What does it mean? Did I mention her race? What could lead you to believe that I am implying that anyone’s race would make them less likely to have a boyfriend?
What I am insinuating, by including her photo beneath my last sentence, is that she looks like she’s insane. Look at my headline and look at the picture. She looks crazy and homicidal, like maybe no one who had seen her would be surprised to find out she had killed someone — and yet she has a boyfriend.
I thought I was making an obvious observation that she looks like she’s nuts, like just-escaped-from-an-institution-nuts, a homicidal maniac like in the movies. I don’t know how in the world you get racism or race from that. Unless you see “type of racism remarks” everywhere.

I THINK what Anonymous was offended because the woman is obese. “Type of racism” (that would only make sense to what she is saying…) But that isn’t what you meant, so they took it the wrong way. (Someone always takes witty humor the wrong way)
However, I think it is well written and witty, and she DOES look like she is nuts…
Very disturbing story Indeed. I do find it comforting to know that people like this still breathe the same air as us though. It is good to know that I will have something to pass the time with should I ever be diagnosed with a terminal illness. I am definitely taking a few of these wonderful examples of humanity with me (and maybe a few random Parking Authority employes as well… ).
Tori, thank you for the compliment and for attempting to make sense of nonsense. Of course, there is nothing racist about mocking someone who is obese. Whether it is an acceptable thing to do, or the moral equivalent of racism, is a subject for another post, since that’s not what I was doing. But on that note, maybe Anonymous would be even more upset that in the post I am disturbed or surprised that a homicidally insane person has a boyfriend. After all, it’s not Roberts’ fault that she’s a crazy killer. We might even argue that she is less to blame for her mental imbalance than some obese people are for being obese. So probably I should show the criminally insane a bit more compassion. Otherwise I risk being accused of a type of racism remark. We wouldn’t want that.
I find it disturbing that someone would be the boyfriend of that white girl in the photo. I mean, when she bugs her eyes out like that, and kinda tilts her head back (or is that just her anatomy filling in the space where air should be?), I dunno… She just looks kinda.. Lithuanian or something.
And WHO cuts her hair?
