If I were king, I would ban music that sounds like my phone. I was driving home today from a meeting and had the radio on. I don’t know what song it was. Something I’d never heard before. Then my phone rang, and I turned off the radio and answered it, thinking it was my wife calling. But there was no one there. I shouted “Hello?!” into the phone like a demented jackass, over and over, before hanging up. I was sure I’d been called and disconnected. Then I turned the radio back on. The ringing returned. It was the damn song. If I were king, I would decree: Hey, music people, cut that shit out.
